Our recent student placement candidate, Olivia Tait, currently a student of Interior Architecture at MTU, successfully completed a 4-week internship.
Olivia was involved in our ongoing hospitality projects, of which 6 hotel renovations are currently on-site.
Olivia learned skills such as assisting in the design of sample rooms, choosing materials, liaising with suppliers and documenting proposals.
Work placements are significant in providing an insight into what it takes to work in the industry – from observing design techniques, communicating with other team members and developing good work ethics. Candidates can experience, first hand, the challenges and rewards of a working environment.
Oliva remarked “The past 4 weeks have been amazing, I’ve learned so much along the way”.
