Work has begun on 607 new homes in one of Ireland’s largest residential projects of recent years - Corballis East in Donabate, Co. Dublin.
Meitheal Architects will deliver a total of 1,074 homes at Corballis East in collaboration with Cairn. This development will offer a diverse range of housing options, including:
– 171 apartments (one block dedicated to age-friendly, sheltered housing)
– 399 terraced apartments, duplexes, and triplexes
– 504 houses ranging from two to five bedrooms
Amenities will include two childcare facilities, retail and café units, a medical centre, and a community centre. 13 hectares of land near the Broadmeadow Estuary will be transformed into the Corballis Nature Reserve, developed in partnership with Fingal County Council, providing a world-class natural habitat for residents and visitors to enjoy.
This project is more than just homes—it’s about creating vibrant, sustainable communities. Our designs focus on energy efficiency, accessibility, and connectivity.
We are proud to be part of this milestone and look forward to contributing to Donabate’s growing community!
Patrick O Toole, Managing Director of Meitheal Architects, said: “Our focus is on designing spaces that create adaptable and accessible communities for individuals at every stage of life, an objective very much evident in our design for Corballis East. Alongside our partners Cairn, Meitheal Architects is proud to create quality-driven homes, fostering vibrant communities that will endure for generations. Our designs for this new development also prioritise energy efficiency, ensuring that each home not only meets the needs of today but also respects the environment for the future.”
