Ballybay Primary Care Centre

Project overview

Ballybay PCC is a modern community healthcare facility designed to support accessible, efficient and patient-focused care.

Developed on a vacant brownfield site, the 3-storey, 13,350sqft PCC boosts local employment and the provision of healthcare services in the area. This development re-purposes vacant, derelict and partially completed ghost developments, filling a crucial town centre location.

The PCC has been equipped to provide a full range of care services including GP; Dietetics; Occupational Therapy; Physiotherapy; Public Health Nursing; Social Work and Speech and Language Therapy.

The project placed strong emphasis on clear wayfinding, inclusive design, and the delivery of high-quality clinical environments. The design approach centred on creating a calm, welcoming and highly functional setting, with intuitive circulation and bright, well-lit spaces throughout.
