Fire Engineer

Summary

Meitheal Architects are seeking an experienced, adaptable, and ambitious Fire Engineer with capabilities in design and project delivery.

The candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering effective innovative fire engineering solutions to various building types to meet quality standards.

The role will involve working on exciting projects across various sectors including; Leisure, Educational, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial, and Residential for both public and private clients.

Roles And Responsibilities

Develop fire engineering solutions for various building types and at various stages.
Apply performance-based fire engineering solutions and in particular the ability to develop structural fire engineered solutions.
Carry out risk assessments of existing buildings.
Prepare relevant documentation such as presentations, reports, sketches, drawings, etc.
Liaise with the design team, client, local approving authorities, contractors and other third parties as required.
Maintain quality standards.

Requirements

Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (level 8) in Fire Safety Engineering (or equivalent).
3-5 years post grad experience in a consultancy or similar environment.
Must have a good understanding of current Irish Building Regulation and a thorough understanding of Part B and M access.
Strong drafting and detail skills (proficiency in AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, MS Office is desired).
High level verbal and written communication skills.
A strong focus on time and resource management.
Excellent people management and project execution capability.
Experience working on projects during construction stage.
Only those holding eligibility to work in Ireland can be considered
Full clean driving license.
Chartered status is preferable but not essential.
