Meitheal Architects & My Goodness – Design POP Pavilion
20. 5. 2019
Meitheal Architects were one of six designers selected to create a bespoke pavilion for Ireland’s first food and design festival ‘Design POP’, taking place from the 17 – 19th of May 2019. See more here.
Our colourful pavilion at Lapps Quay was created in collaboration with the award-winning ‘My Goodness’ - producer of vegan, raw, gluten free, sugar free, dairy free products and fermented probiotic foods.
Using mostly recycled and reclaimed materials (salvaged election and referendum posters) our pavilion was home to a full schedule of events over the weekend, including yoga workshops, music performances and food tastings.
Cork ARC Cancer Support House – Works underway
10. 5. 2019
We're delighted to have works well underway at Sarsfield House, Wilton - soon to be the new home to Cork ARC Cancer Support House, due to open this Autumn. Cork ARC Cancer Support House is a safe haven for people with cancer and their families. The new facility will create a homely and relaxed atmosphere away from the clinical setting. The key to the success of the new centre is the provision of therapies that complement the medical model and adhere to best practice. Pictured here at a site visit, Tanaiste Simon Coveney, Senator Jerry Buttimer, Louise Nestor (Cork ARC Trustee), Aileen O'Neill and Meitheal Managing Director Patrick O Toole.
St. Patrick’s Bridge Refurbishment – Architectural Lighting Designers
9. 4. 2019
It was great to attend the official unveiling of the newly rehabilitated St.Patrick's Bridge on Saturday March 16th. Built in 1861, the 90m long, three-span, masonry arch bridge links Cork's main street to St. Patrick’s Hill. An outstanding example of late 19th century engineering, it is a key landmark in Cork city. We at Meitheal were appointed to design the architectural lighting and are very pleased with the end result.
