Meitheal Architects are acting as project architects on this development, working with our partners Summerhill Construction Co Ltd.
The project comprises the redevelopment, conservation, and refurbishment of an existing terrace of three Georgian townhouses, along with the construction of a new-build 5-storey, 103-bedroom hotel with a basement. The project was brought to planning by architects JFA, and is being developed by JMK Group.
We are working with Oisin Creagh at Design Forum Architects to carry out conservation works which will sensitively restore the development while preserving its historic fabric. The buildings’ rich heritage, including façades, windows, doorways, staircases and decorative fixtures, will be retained, revived, and incorporated into the final designs.
Meitheal Architects are dedicated to protecting the architectural heritage of these structures, revitalising the derelict buildings to new purpose, and harmoniously integrating the new development with the surrounding built environment on South Terrace.
