Ashton Court

Project overview

Ashton Court is a residential development on a five-acre site overlooking the River Blackwater Estuary in Youghal, housing the former Loreto Convent and residential services.

This residential development includes the refurbishment of the original Ashton Court building, built in 1840, along with the surrounding convent buildings and facilities, to provide a mixture of 53 apartments, duplexes, and houses.

Our role as project architects has been to successfully masterplan the steep site and insert new contemporary buildings within the grounds to sit harmoniously with the existing historical protected structures to be refurbished. We are currently working to bring this scheme to construction and will be providing full architectural, statutory, and certifying roles for our clients.
